Dr. Costello enjoys spending

time with her family, which

includes her  two dogs (Lily

Flower and Matilda) and a

kitty named Phoebe.

  • Residency in Emergency and Critical Care: University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia, PA: 2002.
  • ACVECC Board Certification: 2002.

Experience

  • Internship: Animal Medical Center, New York, New York: 1999.
  • Staff Veterinarian: University of Pennsylvania Emergency Department, 2002-2006.
  • Staff Veterinarian: University of Pennsylvania Hemodialysis Unit, 2004-2006.
  • Published in veterinary textbooks and in peer-reviewed journals such as the Journal of Veterinary Emergency and Critical Care and the Journal of the American Veterinary Medical Association.
  • Lectures internationally, nationally, and regionally at such venues as International Veterinary Emergency and Critical Care Symposium and American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine Forum.
  • Professional interests include sepsis, adrenal insufficiency, feline medicine, kidney disease, and hemodialysis.
