Barbara Maton, DVM

"I've always been passionate about caring for sick animals.

AVETS gives me the opportunity to play a role in helping the

sickest patients while working in a compassionate, competent

Dr. Maton enjoys outdoor activities,

including hiking, biking, running, and

gardening. She enjoys travelling to

foreign countries to appreciate the

different cultures and environments.

She has a humble, mixed breed black

dog (Macy), a sassy gray tabby (Sable),

and a  goofy, orange tabby (Tango).

  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine: University of Florida, 2006.

  • Small Animal Internship: SouthPaws Veterinary Specialists and Emergency Center, VA, 2007.
  • Relief Emergency Veterinarian: Prince William Emergency Veterinary Clinic, Manassas, VA.
  • Western Pennsylvania Veterinary Medical Association member.
  • Veterinary Emergency and Critical Care Society member.
