Emergency & Critical Care Residents

AVETS attracts some of the brightest veterinarians pursuing Board Certification. Our Residents have traveled from as far as Canada and Hawaii and from such internship programs as the AMC (Animal Medical Center) and the University of Pennsylvania to learn from our Critical Care Specialists. These talented professionals have at least one year of intensive experience to initiate their three-year program at AVETS. Although our Residents have experience, an Emergency or Critical Care Specialist is always accessible for consults.

Approximately four days a week, the Residents partake in clinical Emergency and Critical Care Service responsibilities. In addition, the Residents participate in regularly scheduled rounds, rotate with other specialists, conduct research and lecture. For more information, visit www.avecc.org.
